A Letter from our President Dean K. Young

 

Dear Customers:

At The Bank of Romney, the health, safety and well-being of our customers, employees, associates and communities continues as our top priority.  In this rapidly changing situation, we understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19).  We are committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers in a manner that prioritizes health and safety for us all.

While our bank and the immediate community have not experienced any direct infections from the Coronavirus (COVID- 19) outbreak that we are aware of, we feel we must take some additional precautions to safeguard our community.  Changes will occur as of Tuesday March 24.

Limited Lobby Access

We will be serving customers through our drive-up facilities, with limited lobby access available by appointment only. Drive thru services will be available at our regular posted drive-thru hours.  Please be aware we are still open for business and able to serve you. Customers may call their individual branches for an appointment for various needs such as safe deposit access, new debit cards, loan requests, new accounts etc.  We will continue to promote social distancing and other protocols when engaging in client appointments.

Joint Statement

FNB Bank and The Bank of Romney would like to take this opportunity to notify and reinforce to our customers and communities the safety and soundness of our institutions in this difficult time.  The FDIC deposit insurance program remains in place and the details are available at www.fdic.gov/deposit/.

We are taking precautions to minimize close personal contact and to sanitize our locations regularly.  We encourage you to utilize our contactless banking channels including drive-thrus, online/mobile banking, etc.  We are poised to work creatively with our customers impacted by COVID-19 and you are encouraged to reach out to your local banking office to discuss.  We are continually monitoring the ever changing environment daily, along with our respective regulators and other community banks.  While we intend to remain open and functional, modification to our hours, services and general operations will be posted on Facebook, our websites and on our front doors. 

We encourage you to follow the recommendation of the CDC, our state and federal governments.

 

 

Certificates of Deposit

Low minimum deposits of $500.00 for CDs of 18 months or shorter, $1000.00 for 24-60 month CDs.
